New Southwest Watchtower
Quzhou is historically known as the southwestern hometown of Confucius, where the decedents of Confucius resided and continued to preach his philosophy. The site is located on the extended landscape central axis of the high-speed railway station to the southeast.
The design utilizes the shape of double towers, which refers to the Chinese Hanque, a stone tower monument. Through constructing the image of a double Hanque oriented to the southeast, and combining the project with a theme of future, science, technology, and ecology, we established a new urban landmark of Quzhou.
